Twin artists, Lisa and Lori Lubbesmeyer, blend their former disciplines as a printmaker and painter to create strong visual statements in fiber. It is their sensitivity to color harmonies, and the use of textured fabrics which distinguishes their work. The Lubbesmeyers employ painterly techniques using many layers of fabric and stitching to create the brushstrokes of their fiber paintings.
